Recipes

I've been decorating now for 4 years and I would like to share with you the recipes that I use. Below are links to these delicious recipes!

 Royal Icing

Sweet Sugarbelle is what I refer to as the "cookie decorating queen". I have learned almost everything from her blog and tutorials. Her tutorials are easy to follow and her cookies are simple, yet beautifully perfect! I've been using her royal icing recipe since I first started decorating and it has NEVER failed me. You can find her ROYAL ICING recipe & tutorials here: http://www.sweetsugarbelle.com/2014/02/royal-icing-for-cookie-decorating/

To flavor my icing, I use my favorite clear vanilla extract (clear vanilla helps keep the white icing, white). You can find it here: https://grunderfully-delicious.myshopify.com/collections/supplies/products/watkins-extracts
Americolor food gel is my absolute favorite to use! You can purchase their most popular colors here: https://grunderfully-delicious.myshopify.com/collections/supplies/products/americolor-food-gel

Chocolate Sugar Cookie

Another delicious recipe that I use  is this Chocolate Sugar Cookie from LilaLoa. She calls it the "End-All for Chocolate Cookies" for a reason. She is another decorator that is incredibly inspirational sharing with us her simple and bright tutorials. You can find her fun tutorials and delicious CHOCOLATE SUGAR COOKIE recipe & fun tutorials here: http://www.lilaloa.com/2011/03/end-all-for-chocolate-cookies-recipe.html

Sugar Cookie

I've tried several sugar cookie recipes, and the one that works best for me is the "No Fail Sugar Cookie" from Cake Central. Some adjustments I've made are that I roll my dough  between plastic wrap and put them right in the freezer. I also bake mine at 375, but your oven might be different. My advice is to try this recipe a few times before you give up on it. You can find the SUGAR COOKIE recipe here: http://www.cakecentral.com/recipe/2055/no-fail-sugar-cookies
